How can kids learn to make informed educated decisions, if they only learn one theory? Creationism/Evolution?

i think most children learn of evolution in school, while their parents and church teach them about "religion". i understand this doesn't apply to every case, but maybe in general. it also provides him/her with two sides of the argument, so he/she can make an educated decision.
