Is philosophy all about logical wordplay?

To say 'an inner process stands in need of outward criteria' isn't just explaining language, if it needs to be explained, it is saying, there is a conceptual duality, inner and external, co-habitating the mind. This is a division and a conflict which the mind is continually trying to resolve. The premise that there is a sound basis to start with is false and so our outcomes are always false.
