How to plot this in matlab?

I want to plot two data sets against each other......i used vectors to enter the data (height and weight for each student in a cl). the problem is whenever i plot it matlab connects all the points...resulting in a horrible figure (since this is not proportional data it doesnt result in a straight line but lines going back n forth). i want to display ONLY THE POINTS....no lines. How do i do this? Also, is there any way to obtain optimal slope, intercept, t-statistic value, p-value etc....from the graph using matlab. Basically i am trying to correlate the height and weight.
