X-clamp fix for good xbox 360?

i was wondering, i have a xbox 360 with a falcon chipset, new heatsinks all that, its been running strong for the last yr 1/2 but lately its been freezing for a second here and there during gameplay and sometimes when i first turn it on inbetween the boot logo and the dashboard sometimes it flashed green and some other colours, i was wondering if i could do the x-clamp fix even tho it hasnt RRoD'd yet?or should i just wait till it goes?
